Governors

Our governors are a group of volunteers who include parents, staff and members of our local community and Church.

Our main role is to promote ongoing improvements in standards throughout the school. We are involved, along with the Senior Leadership team, in planning the school’s long-term direction, and we evaluate progress. We are a ‘critical friend’ to the school, providing support and challenge were appropriate.

We help set the school’s aims and values and many of our responsibilities carry a statutory requirement. This means that we are obliged by law to do certain things such as agree the annual budget.

As well as attending full Governing Board meetings, once a term, governors are also involved in subcommittees. There are two main ones which meet termly; Curriculum and Resources, as well as others such as Admissions, which meet annually.
