We use the ‘Point in Time’ documents which outline what we want our children to be able to achieve throughout their time in Reception. These then form the basis for providing purposeful learning opportunities, in order for our children to be able to practise and embed the skills and knowledge that provide the foundations for the next step in their educational journey.
We also share a snapshot of each child's learning journey using Tapestry. This online systems enables parents to see photographs and commentary from our staff about their child's experiences, sharing key events linked to the development and learning,
We complete two statutory assessments:
Baseline profile in the first six weeks of a child starting in our setting.
EYFS profile in the summer term, which assesses children against the Early Learning Goals.
