A message from Mrs Statham - Head of School
We are always proud of our pupils and have high expectations of all of them when we are out of school. In the past two weeks, I have received such glowing reports about so many of the children. Our Y6 cyclists, who were really focused and well-behaved during their daily cycle lessons, the instructors trusted them to go on a bike ride all the way to Forty Hall and back!
Two football festivals took place, one for Y4 pupils at the Spurs training ground and the other for Y5/6 pupils at the Enfield Grammar pitches. All children were commended by the coaches for their sportsmanship, manners and resilience. Due to the terrible weather, Mrs Dempsey and I took the Y4s on a detour to the cafe at Myddelton House and Gardens, where we were able to dry out. 12 mugs of hot chocolate later, we left with the cafe manager complimenting the children on their exemplary behaviour and manners. Mrs Anderson and I took some Y5 pupils to the TFL Head Office in Stratford today and again, they were amazing.
It is when we take our children out of school, to visit people and places and participate with other schools, that we really see their impeccable behaviour stand out. Well done to every one of them.
I would also like to congratulate the Year 1 and Year 4 children on completing their national tests this week. For Y4 children, they completed their Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) and Y1 children completed their Phonics Screening Check (PSC). A huge thanks to every member of staff who has been involved in supporting the children through the tests.
