Spring Term 2026

Welcome to the Spring Term. The weather has been very mixed over the past two weeks – very cold and very wet! Please ensure your child has a suitable coat as we go outside during wet weather.

This term, we look forward to lots of trips, workshops and events, such as Children's Mental Health Week from 9th February and World Book Day on Thursday 5th March. Our Year 3 children have started their recorder lessons with Mrs Statham and Miss Jones and online parent meetings will take place towards the end of term in March.

Our curriculum letters for this term are on the website. Please click here to view these.

We also have parent coffee mornings coming up, led by PINS (Partnership for Inclusion and Neurodiversity in Schools), which we strongly encourage parents to attend. Please see the flyer below.

Finally, we look forward to our new Saints' Federation governors visiting classes and meeting staff and children over the term.

What has been happening around the school?

Our Year 5 classes started the term with a trip to the Science Museum in London. They had a great time looking at the Space exhibits, including a huge 'floating' Earth.

Our Reception children have also been learning about Space, including making constellations and 3D rockets! This week, our small hall was set up as a Little City, a truly immersive experience for our youngest children. The children spent a wonderful time exploring the different areas, such as the vets, a café, a hairdresser's and a supermarket!

In Year 6, the children have been reading the incredible picture book 'The Arrival' by Shaun Tan and spent the morning in the hall, re-enacting one of the scenes. They boarded the ship with their residency application in hand and used the 'thought-tapping' technique to imagine how they were feeling and who they were leaving behind on the journey. A simple but effective way of immersing our older children in role-play opportunities.

The Enfield PE Team has been into school, supporting Year 2 children with their gymnastics. They have been learning about different balances, as well as how to get out and put away the apparatus by themselves. They did a great job!
