Can you spell tumultuous, pulmonary and manoeuvre?

Well, our superb spellers in Year 6 can! In fact, we have a whole team of superb spellers who represented St. Andrew's School in all three finals of the ETSP (Enfield Town Schools Partnership) Spelling Bee.

Our teams all gave an outstanding performance and each competition was extremely close! Here are the results:

Y1 and Y2 team - Winners !

Y5 and Y6 team - Winners !

Y3 and Y4 team - Runners Up!

This was a phenomenal result for our school, well done to :

Alva & Vinnie Y1, Kenaan & Leo Y2
Edric & Ethan Y3, Areesh & Theo Y4
Ehan & Gordon Y5, Era and Nathan Y6

Thanks to Mrs Meekin & Miss Jones for their time, effort and encouragement throughout the whole competition.

Year 5 and Year 6 take part in UK Parliament Week 2025

Every year, our older pupils work together to learn about important ideas and concepts to do with Parliament Week. They have taken part in campaigns, balloon debates, decision-making activities, Speaker's Corner and a referendum. They have also learnt about how our UK Government works and the roles within the government. A huge thanks to the eight Year 6 pupils, who researched a significant person, ready to debate against each other. It was a thrilling performance!

A great week, packed with speaking and listening opportunities and new learning. The result of the referendum will be taken forward to the School Council.

This week, 20 children competed in a range of athletics events with other Enfield schools. The events included the sprint, javelin, jumps and long distance running. We are pleased to announce that the team came 3rd out of 11 schools. Well done to all our athletes and thank you to Mrs Dilieto and Mrs Janes for supporting them on the day.
