With God's love, we live, learn and grow together

Attendance Award

{item_alt_tag}

Since being back after Easter,
we have yet to see
100% attendance in any class.
Some have come very close at 98%.

Let's hope for a full class
next week!

Please remember,
one day of absence counts as 2 sessions. In Years 1 to 6, that's four or five lessons missed and 3 opportunities for your child to socialise outside with friends.

YR Topic 'Marvellous Minibeasts'

The children in Reception are have been extremely busy bees! Their minibeast topic has been jam packed with lots of informative and exciting tasks. These have included a school field minibeast hunt, designing and creating bug hotels, making wiggly worm jelly and writing their own versions of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We're also keeping a close eye on our class wormeries and current have caterpillars spinning cocoons, with the promise of butterflies to come!

Y2 Trip to Palmers Green Mosque

In RE this term we are learning about Islam and more specifically, how the five pillars of Islam help a Muslim to show commitment to Allah. Our trip to Palmers Green Mosque built on this knowledge of the five pillars aswell as teaching us about other traditional rituals of the Muslim Faith. The children answered lots of questions to show off their own knowledge and had the opportunity to ask questions and have a tour around the mosque.

Y3 Trip to Myddelton House Gardens

Year 3 spent an exciting day at Myddelton House going on a plant exploration expedition. They followed in the footsteps of Victorian plant hunters and discovered more about the life cycle of plants. All this through games and mime! They had a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Y4 Trip to the Tower of London

The children had a great time exploring and wandering around the Tower of London. We enjoyed seeing the Crown Jewels, talking to a Yeoman and climbing the stairs of the White Tower to see the various pieces of armour used throughout history. We finished the day exploring the different forms of punishment that were used when the Tower was a prison. We were shocked at the devices they used! All the children were a credit to the school. A big thanks to the staff for organising the trip and to the parents who volunteered.
